Customer feedback for children

Quotes from the Special Educational Needs and Disability Leads in Junior Schools.

They are being used in school – helping with focus during lessons. Two Year 6 pupils are finding them very useful during practise SATs papers. Worn on lanyards all day and children use as and when needed – many times they don’t even notice they are using them.

Highly recommend the sensory squares. Bought a set for my son. He carries them to school on a lanyard and have a really calming effect on him when he is feeling anxious. He calls it his thinking square.

I bought the white ones so I can tell when they are grubby, put them in the dishwasher and they come out great.

I work in a special school and 😙 take this samboard everywhere with me, it’s a fantastic distraction for children that are finding it tricky to self regulate and a great strategy to support pupils’ that have difficulties with anxiety. I’ve used it alongside zones of regulation and would recommend it 100% I’ll definitely be purchasing more soon. 😃 Thank you for your order, Samboards.

‘I like how it helps me think’ from an intervention group.

‘It stops me tapping things on the desk’ Aged 7.

‘Mine is very comforting’ Aged 9.

I have found the children with difficulties around focus and concentration have found the Samboards very useful. Teachers have preferred them because they are silent and don’t distract other pupils. I sat with an anxious child during a 45min test, he used his Samboard every time he became agitated and it noticeably helped him. Learning Support Assistant in a Junior school.

” Hi Sam Boards

I just wanted to say how great our son finds your small boards set. He uses them as a distraction when he feels worried or anxious. Or as an outlet for energy. I find because of their size they are easy to carry around. We have put one on the end of a lanyard and I have one in my handbag just in case. His favourite is the unicorn. I find they are so easy to clean as well, I have popped them through the dishwasher and also just wiped them over with sanitiser wipes when we’re out.

Thank you for producing a great product.”

e have given them to a few children with anxiety difficulties who has used them to help soothe. The children seem to like using them.

There is also a child who likes to pick her nails and the skin around her nails when anxious and this also helps.

We have also used it for a child who regularly makes vocal noises in class during whole class teaching (a bit like tics but not diagnosed so cannot label them). We have been using them to distract him from making the noises.

So far they have been soothing for some of our more sensory children.
